Kick Out The Jams Motherfuckers. ✖️💔 the c Kick Out The Jams Motherfuckers. ✖️💔 the clash wrote a song about his c*ocaine bust. in 1975 wayne kramer - the guitarist who co-founded detroit’s mc5 and screamed “kick out the jams” - got caught selling c*ocaine to an undercover cop. the proto-punk revolutionary who wanted to burn the whole establishment down got handed a four-year federal sentence. inside lexington federal prison he met red rodney, the jazz trumpeter who once played in charlie parker’s quintet. they started a prison band called street sounds, and kramer called rodney his musical father. prison, of all places, handed him music back. meanwhile his own heroes the clash turned his crime into punk history, writing a song called “jail guitar doors” that opens “let me tell you ‘bout wayne and his deals of cocaine.” decades later, clean, he took that exact song title and built something with it: jail guitar doors usa, a charity that puts instruments into prison cells to give inmates a way out. the song written to mock him became his life’s mission. he ran it until pancreatic cancer took him in february 2024. he was 75. 🎵 mc5 - ‘kick out the jams’ source: rolling stone, wikipedia, washington post #waynekramer #mc5 #protopunk #detroit #kickoutthejamsmotherfucker

👋🏼✖️♥️ Repost @richloyalty The sur 👋🏼✖️♥️ Repost @richloyalty The surviving members of Sorry and The Sinatras are set to reunite for a special one-night-only performance under the name “The Sinatras” at the Scott Sorry Memorial Birthday Show, taking place on October 30, 2026, at KK’s Steelmill in Wolverhampton. Guitarists Rich Jones and Dave Kerr will come together to celebrate the life and legacy of their friend and bandmate Scott Sorry, who sadly passed away in October 2025 following an 8 year battle with brain cancer. The performance will also serve as a tribute to the band’s other fallen members drummer Lenny Thomas in 2016 and bassist Roger Segal in 2022. Jones and Kerr will be joined by acclaimed drummer Karl Rockfist (Danzig, Michael Monroe) and bassist/vocalist Billy Liar to complete the lineup for this unique performance.
